- This privacy notice applies to personal information collected by the Manawatū Tenants’ Union, mtu.org.nz.
- With your consent, we collect your personal information in order to provide advocacy, information, and advice best suited to your circumstances. This information about you includes:

- • interactions with us
- • tenancy issues
- Providing the information is optional. If you choose not to enter any or only some information, we may be limited in offering tenancy support, but there will be no impact on one-off advice and information.
- We keep your information safe by storing it in a secure and password protected database which only our staff can access. Demographic, tenancy issues, and interactions are used to track statistical changes in our work and to met our reporting standards as a Tier 4 Charity.
- We keep your information for two years at which point we remove all identifying personal information such as names and contact information from digital data and shred paper documents.
- This website uses cookies to monitor website usage. These cookies do not collect personal information and may be disabled or opted out without affecting your ability to use the website.
- You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.
